We are excited to manage the design of facilities and infrastructure to upgrade and strengthen Defence’s estate to deliver sustainable, reliable and future proofed facilities that support the ADF's mission to defend Australia and its interests. We have an exciting opportunity for an Environment Consultant to join our national Defence and Regional Security team. You'll be the subject matter specialist in impact assessments and environment approvals, consulting on Defence projects through the various life cycles of a project, from early strategic and estate planning phases, through to design, construction and delivery. This will include working with other specialists (ecologists, contaminated land and heritage) to plan and manage technical studies and investigations, addressing risks and guiding projects through the environmental assessment and approval processes. We are looking for someone who can hold and maintain a security clearance (baseline minimum, NV1 desirable) with relevant experience from the Australian Defence industry, along with a suitable tertiary qualification. As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: • Plan, manage and deliver moderate to complex projects, offer technical guidance and project management whilst interfacing with the client and multi discipline project teams. • Apply in depth knowledge of the environmental regulatory framework and technical elements of Defence policies and standards. • Bring innovative ideas to meet client and project issues, working collaborative with technical teams (ecology, heritage, contamination, digital, sustainability and climate change) to help deliver successful project outcomes. • Provide technical support to ensure successful field investigation programs and the development of robust technical reports to support the assessment process. • Manage pursuits as appropriate and provide bid support.
