About The Role

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Chemist to work within the Technical Operating Unit in our Gloucester Headquarters. The purpose of this role is to support the Lead Chemist in the delegated nuclear engineering subjects associated with the UK Advanced Boiling Water Reactor, from the GDA/ Site specific design phase through to plant construction and operations. The post holder will also manage framework contracts and support production of nuclear related studies.

Qualifications

About You

You will need to hold a Degree or equivalent qualification in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials or corrosion science or other relevant discipline and be a member of relevant professional body or institution. You will need to have a good knowledge and understanding across a broad range of nuclear power plant chemistry issues, including a good working knowledge of key legislation and regulation affecting chemistry across a nuclear power plant (including conventional legislation).
