Position Specific Description

At NextEra Analytics we believe in a future where electricity is clean, affordable, and reliable. To realize that future, we develop software that solves the hardest problems in electricity. Our organization is searching for an Agile Delivery Manager on our New Product Research and Development team. This employee will lead the development of new software tools that can extend our leadership in clean energy development and operations. Successful candidates in this position will work closely with business units and software teams to identify, assess, and solve complex business problems using software. The Agile Delivery Manageris responsible for interfacing between senior management and project teams to ensure products meet commercial requirements and are delivered on time. The employee will use their expertise in software and/or energy to coach a multi-disciplinary team in the creation of new tools in our evolving industry. At this level, employees are expected to propose and prototype new products with their colleagues based on early stage concepts. In this position, employees have some latitude in decision-making and act independently to determine methods and procedures necessary to fulfill assignments. Decisions made by employees in this role have a major day to day impact on their area of responsibility.

Job Overview

This position guides teams in the execution of agile initiatives to deliver customer value. Employees in this role train and coach in the use of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scale agile framework practices.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
  • Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network
  • Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
  • Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
  • Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
  • Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
  • Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
  • Plays an instrumental role in the organization's Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
