Jacobs is seeking a qualified Document Control Specialist with experience on major transportation projects for clients such as WSDOT and Puget Sound local transportation agencies. D ay to day document control and document processing for all aspects of construction . This position is located in Tacoma, WA.

This position will report to a Resident Engineer with typical duties as follows:

  • Manage WSDOT/Local Area Guidelines (LAG) documentation and compliance reporting
  • Manage Request for Information (RFI) process
  • Manage all filing system development
  • Manage all logs associated with projects
  • Input daily project information into the computer system. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word
  • Draft contractor correspondence and weekly/monthly project status reports
  • Process daily inspection reports
  • Coordinate Change Order information processing
  • Process monthly contractor pay estimates and measured quantities
  • Coordinate request for material testing

  • Minimum of at least 8-10 years experience on WSDOT and/or LAG projects involving Federal funding is required.
  • Bachelors degree or related experience with a minimum of two years' experience in construction or design activities desired.
  • Must be computer literate with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
