Senior Electrochemist - Battery Cell Manufacturing - Southern Europe

Role: Senior Electrochemist

Department: R&D Team

Location: Southern Europe

Piper Maddox are working on behalf of a European battery cell manufacturer specialising in the production of Na-ion & Li-ion batteries for EV, ESS, industrial and special applications.

They are currently building a gigafactory in Southern Europe and their next key hire is a Senior Electrochemist to drive advanced electrochemical testing in the R&D Team.

This is a chance to join a groundbreaking gigafactory project and play a key part in scaling it from scratch!

Your background & experience:

✔ 3+ years in postdoc or industry.

✔ Phd in Chemistry, Physics or any related engineering degree.

✔ Expertise in Electrochemical testing of metal ion batteries; large format testing (SLP, MLP, Cylindrical) and abuse testing.

✔ Strong knowledge of cathode & anode materials + other components.

✔ Hands on experience with experimental design and execution, with strong data analysis and interpretation.
