Where you fit in
You’ll be joining our Geosolutions UK team, with a focus on delivering Quantitative Interpretation of seismic data to support prospect evaluation, reservoir property estimates for the conditioning of reservoir models, reservoir surveillance(4D) and well maturation.

What’s the role?
As a Senior QI Geophysicist, you will be responsible for scoping, planning and delivering, directly and through others, pivotal QI analysis of seismic data in support of both Exploration and Development. You will link, support and harness regional and global QI networks, internally and externally where appropriate.

You’ll be accountable for deploying techniques such as seismic forward modelling, AVO Analysis and seismic inversion. You will also be responsible for championing, implementing and promoting new technologies.

We expect you’ll be the type of person who is curious and relishes developing others. You will also be a good team player who uses your natural people skills to nurture relationships with the development and exploration teams in Aberdeen and London to identify opportunities and mature them into projects.

Requirements

What we need from you
We expect you to have an advanced degree in Geophysics or equivalent qualifications. Beyond that, we’re keen to hear from men and women with as much of the following on your CV:

  • Evidence of significant experience in Quantitative Interpretation
  • Deep knowledge of seismic acquisition techniques (3D/4D), seismic processing and reservoir surveillance would be advantage
  • Deep understanding of advance rock physics concepts
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in coaching junior staff
  • Strong presentation skills
