Role: Senior Data Scientist

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + 10% bonus (one-year fixed term contract – with a view to extend)

Company Overview:

La Fosse are excited to announce an exciting new Senior Data Scientist position with a leading global consultancy company where you will oversee a key project with a large retailer. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious and eager to work on a cutting-edge Data Science project. Main projects focus on forecasting and experimentation projects.

Role Description:

• Translate client’s business challenges into AI/ML models. Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models.
• Collaborate closely with the COE team as lead consultant, optimising processes and providing valuable insights across multiple markets.
• Creating behavioural segmentations.
• Develop a strategic roadmap in line with the client’s objectives.
• Designing and enhancing recommendation systems to improve user experiences.
• Supervise and mentor junior Data Scientists.

Requirements:

• Possess hands-on experience in building ML models for retail and customer analytics.
• Strong communication skills and experience effectively engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Competency in various methodologies: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive.
• Experience in regression, classification, clustering and forecasting models.
• Strong experience with experimentation (A/B testing).
• Proficient in Python, Spark, SQL and Databricks.
