Position Overview:
As the Highways Bid Manager, you will be a key member of our business development team, responsible for leading the end-to-end bid management process for Highway projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals that showcase our expertise and capabilities in the Highways sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Strategy: Collaborate with senior management and project teams to develop effective bid strategies that align with company objectives and project requirements.
- Bid Coordination: Lead and coordinate the entire bid process, including the analysis of tender documents, bid/no-bid decisions, proposal development, and submission.
- Proposal Development: Write, review, and edit proposal content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client needs and project goals.
- Technical Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of highway projects, technical details, and industry-specific terminology to effectively communicate project plans, methodologies, and solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including technical teams, subcontractors, and partners, to gather required information and develop a comprehensive bid response.
- Cost Estimation: Collaborate with estimators to ensure accurate cost estimations for the project, ensuring that pricing aligns with bid requirements and budget constraints.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks associated with the bid and propose risk mitigation strategies to increase the probability of bid success.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all bid requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain a comprehensive bid library, including templates, case studies, and reference materials to streamline future bid processes.
- Post-Bid Analysis: Participate in post-bid debriefs and analysis to gather feedback and continuously improve the bid process.
