Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary Produce the mechanical / electrical design from concept to detail design. Responsible for the design contents as assigned together with its follow-up for Authority and Client’s approval. Assist in liaison and coordination with Local Authority Departments to obtain approval on design projects. Responsible for the preparation of design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for the design projects under supervision of senior engineers/ managers. Reporting to line manager and ensure regular progress update to line manager / senior engineers / project managers. Work under the supervision of senior engineers / supervisor and perform work task assigned. Participate in the progress meetings and workshops for design projects, with other disciplines Coordinate with other discipline engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design projects. Participate in coordination process, including in virtual coordination requirement, interface with other disciplines. Assist in production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for M&E works working with drafting and modelling team. Maintain proper records of all issued & received documents and reports. Perform regular documents and housekeeping work in the project directory. Participate the CSD coordination meetings with other disciplines and modelers. identify all the CSD/SEM issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model updates. Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM-Model and related activities. Minimum Requirements Minimum 1 to 3 years design experience in building or infrastructure projects, preferably large-scale infrastructure and railway. Candidates with experience in M&E infrastructure such as metro and railways will be an added advantage. Understand design theory with strong academic background. Excellent attitude at work, and eager to learn. Understand local code and authority submission procedure. Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills. Excellent technical writing skills. Computational software skills will be essential. Preferred Qualifications Master Degree or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with good academic results / scores. Graduate member of professional institute.
