Manufacturing Engineer

Job Overview:

  • Develop, improve, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Program and optimize CNC machines and other automated equipment to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
  • Collaborate closely with quality and operations teams to drive continuous improvement alignment across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and layouts as a team.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures for machinists and professionals ensuring effective communication.
  • Analyze production data and perform root cause analysis to resolve manufacturing issues encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Lead process improvement projects using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Coordinate with design and R&D teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.
  • Select and validate tools, equipment, and fixtures for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Support the introduction of new products and equipment into production.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Train production staff on new processes and procedures coordinating continuous improvement and education company wide.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including yield, downtime, and cycle time.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude that impacts the existing company culture.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn new skills and adjust to increased workloads displaying a helpful work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze quality data.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Mastercam.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing documentation.
