Franklin Automation of the Neyret Group, is in search of an Advanced Controls Engineer who
will be responsible for Electrical Machine Design, all aspects of machine programming, and
debug of all machine controls. We are looking for motivated self-starters to join our talented
and growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design and document electrical and control systems based on accepted industrial
engineering principles
2. Provide technical support for both internal and external customers
3. Create bill of materials and assist in procurement of components
4. Write and debug code for PLC’s, HMI’s, Robots, Servo’s, Vision Systems, etc.
5. Work directly with mechanical project teams to debug automated machines
6. Ensure all relevant safety and legal requirements are observed for all work completed
7. Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering
problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget
8. Create customer documentation including user manuals, programming diagrams,
network diagrams, and electrical drawings
9. Maintain accurate records and files according to quality standard
10. Commission customized products and systems onsite and at customer facilities
SKILLS:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
Background in automation engineering preferred
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar related degree)
4 - 6 years related job experience.
Valid Driver’s License
Proficient with MS Office, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, AutoCAD
Strong fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial machinery; including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems
