Fluor is looking for an experienced Process Architect .

Fluor is establishing a front end design team in Europe to leverage the robust Fluor platforms and service in Western Europe and UK/Ireland Life Sciences clients, ensuring Fluor's growth, stability and sustainability.

As a result we are recruiting for an experienced Process Architect for Life Sciences projects (located the Netherlands), supporting the business development efforts and lead the execution of the work once awarded.
This position will be part of the European FIG team (Facility Integration team), based in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Poland.

As a Process Architect you will be responsible for the following tasks
• Business Development
Provide technical support to the sales team as required in pursuit of life sciences opportunities. Maintain key Client relationships in support of business development and pursuit of new work.
• Strategic (Master) Planning
Participate in strategy development and, where appropriate, provide oversight or leadership in key areas where appropriate.
• Project Leadership
Act as the direct Focal Point of Process Architecture, for leading the front end Facilities Integration design on major capital projects during early and conceptual design phase.
• Manage and Supervise the follow up design and planning phase for design architecture.
• Laydown of the cGMP architectural facility foundation, in close cooperation with the Process Technology Manager or client process licensor.
• Be a team mentor and pleasant solution oriented Fluor spokesperson for our Life Sciences Business Line.
• Technical Quality
Undertake reviews of projects to ensure that technical and business objectives are met.
• Training
Identify company personnel skill/experience gaps and deliver specific training or recommend recruitment to resolve/fill those gaps.

Basic Job Requirements:
• Bsc or Msc degree in Process Technology/Engineering/Science
• English, proficient in reading and communication (speaking & writing)
• Willing to travel extensively throughout Europe
• Relationship building attitude, demonstrating this in the work execution

Other Job Requirements:
You have at least 15+ years of experience in the life sciences Industry
Successfully carried out a similar role on several major/complex Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological projects. You will be recognized by the industry's blue chip clients as a significant contributor to the success of the design, operability and maintainability of their facilities.

Adept at understanding client commercial and technical drivers and in development of initial design concepts with translation into efficient detailed cGMP facility designs, working in close coordination with process technology and design colleagues.

Demonstrates the knowledge of latest developments in facility designs
solutions for the newer processes we face in Pharma/Bio manufacturing.

A pleasant driver and sparring partner for our Life Sciences clients, carrying the responsibility of the facility design solution proposed. Having an inclusive dialogue for challenges our clients face in manufacturing.

Extensive experience of each phase of project development including studies, Master Planning, pre-concept and conceptual design, establishment of Basis of Design, Basic Engineering (FEED).

Integration experience of architectural clean room suppliers and finishes for diverse classifications.

Experience will cover Primary and Secondary Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological project execution and related proposal development/ presentation.

Aware of current Pharm/Bio facility design regulations including pharmaceutical regulatory agency guidelines (e.g. FDA, EMEA,CFDA, ICH), and will likewise be aware of latest client and facility design and construction trends and implementation techniques.

Excellent knowledge of cGMP, clean room/area classification design, pharmaceutical and biotechnological containment, equipment layout, building services design including sophisticated HVAC/airlock requirements, people and material flow and facility validation, operation, and maintenance requirements.

Proficient understanding of 3D modeling tools to aid in the facility layout and planning process. (Tools like Revit)

Be able to mentor and direct design architects to develop the next level of detail in basic engineering and detailed design.

Provide financial investment considerations for the facility option, informing the lead estimator about the architectural investment basis.

Has experience of presenting at seminars and industry conferences and has a level of "name recognition" within the Life Sciences Clients.

Has been lead Process Architect or Project Architect for major "Greenfield" and "Revamp" projects involving a significant degree of complexity.

Provide leadership and mentoring in the development of the Life Sciences business, establishing and implementing individual development plans and conducting one to one feedback sessions for staff under their control.
