Position Summary

Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.

• Perform routine aspects of engineering and/or geology requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and geologic principals under close supervision.
• May use computer-assisted engineering or geologic software and equipment to perform engineering and geologic tasks.
• Collect and repair data for evaluation.
• Assist in the coordination of projects from conception through final deliverable preparation.
• Provide support to professional staff members, as needed.

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in a Master's program for environmental engineering or geology required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel) required.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Previous environmental intern experience is preferred.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management and thrive in a team environment.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• Excel oral and written communication skills.
