The Role: We are looking for a Cost Analyst to support our clients in managing projects effectively, analyzing data and producing accurate and robust figures that can be used confidently to inform key decisions and track progress.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analysis of outputs from cost models to support accurate reporting, benchmarking and analysis of infrastructure costs on key projects.
• Ensuring that the information received is managed and inserted into the right systems to drive the earned value and cost reporting to a world class standard.  
• Draw on industry best practice in the furtherance of cost systems via continuous improvement development as well as hands on work, ensuring that we provide best in class services to our clients that informs the decision making.  
• Provide support to the development of models including (amongst others) indirect costs, whole life, and prelims that are client-friendly and allow stakeholders to capture an accurate picture both regularly and 'at a glance'.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
• Understanding of the cost drivers that define a project and ability to convert engineering data into meaningful cost drivers.
• Quantity surveying skills and an understanding of the construction industry, working towards chartered status
• Knowledge of cost systems.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to analyse data and present as meaningful metrics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and specifically the ability to present cost work concisely.
• Experience in infrastructure and/or the rail sector.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Working towards chartered status.
  • Experience in infrastructure and/or the rail sector.
