Jacobs Technology is looking for a highly-motivated, energetic self-starter to join the AOC Fielding Support Team at Langley AFB as an AOC Network Infrastructure SME on the AOC Sustainment Services contract to provide post fielding support to the AOC-WS sites to assist in their transition from one baseline to the next and increase the proficiency of site personnel. This is a contract that provides a broad range of engineering support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's (AFLCMC'S) Air Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System program located at Hanscom AFB and their geographically separated unit at Langley AFB. The successful candidate will have detailed knowledge and experience in the configuration, installation, deployment and maintenance of relevant components in an AOC WS environment, including Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), routers/switches, McAfee Sidewinder firewall appliance, host-based intrusion detection, ACS Secure, Solar Winds, and other network management systems. The candidate will employ their technical expertise at various AOC-WS Sites and/or Tier 1 Help Desk to assist with post-installation transition to include mentoring, on-the-job training, technical process support, maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting and tracking as well as general support to the field units. The candidate will work closely with the on-site team, the Fielding Team and the T1 & T2 Help Desk and may also be required to collaborate with external entities and 3rd party providers for support.
Hands-on familiarity with installation and configuration of Cisco UCS, routers and switches, McAfee Firewall and Cisco Secure ACS and other relevant AOC-WS systems; Familiar with Data link architectures and connectivity requirements; Solar Winds, CCNP/CCDP/CCSP, CCIE, CCIE Security, CCNP are desired; Proven ability work collaboratively and communicate effectively in a fast paced environment; Strong Customer Support skills; Strong attention to detail; Appreciation for, and understanding of, military protocol and discipline; Experience providing workforce mentoring & training; Working knowledge of the AOC-WS operations.

Security+ required.


BS degree and 10 years of experience; MS and 8 years of experience; or PhD and 3 years of experience required.


This position requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance.

This position may require travel of up to 50%.

Work Environment

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting for extended periods. May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of manufacturing and military sites or facilities where necessary.

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.), and/or other industry-specific equipment.


Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to travel when necessary to accommodate customer and program requirements.
