Manage and direct Quality and Materials functions. Develop and maintain and ISO-9001 & API Q1 Quality System at Weatherford Broussard Gas Lift Manufacturing and consult with all levels of management providing details of the latest industry standards and methodology in quality, reliability and related fields.
Maintain an ISO-9001 & API Q 1 Quality System at the Broussard, La. manufacturing facility.
Participate in establishment of quality specifications and standards for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
Confer with management, customers and other representatives in planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing the quality program in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and production schedules.
Conduct research and investigation on product defects and failures, and recommend modification in products, process or quality standards where such appears to be warranted.
Visit customers and suppliers, when necessary, to confer on specific quality problems.
Develop and conduct vendor audits and surveys as required.
Review complaints received from customers, both internal and external, for the purpose of determining where emphasis should be placed at the plant to prevent recurrence.
Interface with regulatory agencies, national and international standards bodies and licensing agencies to maintain up-to-date programs and ensure compliance.
Provides national and international interface, on quality related activities, between all business units and corporate.
Train personnel on policies, procedures, jobs functions and the quality system. Provide training programs for facility personnel on requirements of the quality system.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job. 
Extensive experience of API Q1 requirements with specific experience in the API 19G standard.  Working knowledge with ASME section IX welding processes and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) processes and requirements including UT, LPI and MPI. 
Preferably certified by a national or international quality auditor certifying authority in ISO 9001 or API Q1.
Excellent oral and written negotiating and communication skills.
Knowledge of Artificial Gas Lift Equipment/Systems products a must.
Minimum of 10 years in quality management and supervision of related education, training, management and supervisory experience.
Thorough understanding of the quality audit process and related techniques.
Excellent Managerial, organizational and communication skills.  Strong leadership skills necessary.
Experience commensurate with job level.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, materials specifications, testing specifications, and related industry standards and specifications. 
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Professional Engineer, Certified Quality Manager (C.Q.M.) Certified Quality Auditor (C.Q.A.), Certified Quality Engineer (C.Q.E.), and Membership in appropriate professional society.
