The Systems Engineer/Requirements Management lead (SE/RM Lead) will be responsible for the following:

•The SE/RM Lead will be responsible for authoring Requirement Management Plans for large projects.
•The SE/RM Lead will manage the execution of the RM Plan throughout the life of the project.
•The SE/RM Lead will be an integral part of the core team of engineering projects of varying sizes. This requires that the candidate have a broad range of skills and experience acting in multiple roles on these projects. 
•The SE/RM Lead will be asked to help identify and resolve technical issues from planning phases to production on these projects.
•The SE/RM Lead will act as a liaison between subsystems and will assist in the identification and solution of issues that may "fall through the cracks" on large projects. This includes such things as:
o Assisting in the creation and implementation of solutions for system's Interface issues.
o Assisting in the integration of the project as a whole. This includes both horizontal and vertical integration.
o Act as a "Risk Identifier" when issues crop up while working with the various teams on a project.
o Assisting various project teams in meeting their "tollgate" requirements.
o Assisting on both sides of the requirement allocation process. This means on the allocation side along with the reviewing/accepting/rejecting side.
o Act as an "arbitrator" of requirements allocation issues between subsystems or between levels of requirements allocation processes.
•The SE/RM Lead will be asked to work with every level of employee on the project. This includes but does not limit this to:
o Assisting Executive management in defining the needs, benefits and technical strategy of a project.
o Assisting Project Management in building and implement an effective project schedule. The SE has a critical role in this task and will help ensure that all SE related activities are included in the plan and schedule.
o Assisting RM leads in the creation of Requirements Management plans and Processes
o Working with detail level Hardware and Software engineers to help them complete their requirements related tasks and processes.   
•Ability to create, document and refine engineering work processes involving SE/RM Lead related duties.
•The SE/RM Lead will be asked to assist the hardware, software and test engineers plan and implement the system verification & validation program. This program will ensure that the system, as designed and built, will meet the specified requirements. 
•Ability to represent the customer's viewpoint in regards to requirements related issues. This ability is crucial when planning and preparing for audits of any kind.
•The SE/RM Lead will serve in an important role for all project audits. Since he/she will be active in most requirements related processes, his knowledge and experience will be a critical component of these audits.
•The SE/RM Lead will be asked to serve as a customer interface representative when dealing with Customer change requests and other SE related issues. This is a very important role that will allow the SE to use his/her detailed knowledge to solidify customer relationships.

A successful candidate would possess the following:
  • Minimum BS Engineering, Computer Science, IT
  • Min 2 years experience
  • Preferably previous DOORS experience, also plan writing experience. Programming experience always welcome.
