Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with the HVAC engineering activities on design projects for industrial clients under the supervision of an HVAC project lead engineer
  • Is proficient with CAD systems, HVAC design, HVAC calculations, estimating, and project team coordination
  • Design building infrastructure systems using prescribed methods, and perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments as directed by the project lead engineer
  • Performs routine aspects of HVAC design requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision
  • Participates in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects
  • Become familiar with the client's expectations, overall scope and schedule for assigned work
  • Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer
  • Proficient with use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks

  • AS in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years related experience required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Applications is required
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment is required
  • Good listening, writing, and communication skills are required
  • Proficiency of 2D CAD systems (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) required
  • Proficiency of 3D CAD systems (PDS and/or SmartPlant 3D) required
  • Travel to client's facilities as required to complete assigned tasks
