Client Reporting:

  • Work directly with client management on a regular basis to keep them abreast of current issues and opportunities within distribution, regulatory compliance, and training requirements.
  • Assist with FRA, FBI, ISO, and Homeland Security audits of the area
  • Work directly with customers, sales, and distribution teams to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
Engineering Support:
  • Function as client advisor in the area regarding capital improvement projects and its effect on production operations.
  • Conduct briefings and technical meetings for the client regarding capital improvement projects for the area
  • Review projects for completeness and provide oversight as needed
  • Schedule loading activities and isolation of equipment in preparation of engineering activities.
Maintenance Support:
  • Provide technical expertise for resolving various issues regarding equipment and process
  • Function as liaison between maintenance and distribution to ensure maintenance is performed in a timely manner while minimizing impact on distribution
  • Schedule loading activities and isolation of equipment in preparation of maintenance activities.
Management of Area:
  • Provide direction Warehousing Supervisor and the foremen for both the liquid loading and warehouse areas.
  • Perform periodic performance reviews of supervisors and foremen in the area
  • Create synergy between liquid loading and warehouse areas
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in the area
  • Coordinate with client staffing levels for area and distribution of labor resources
  • Oversee supervisor and/or general foreman and direct as needed
  • Hire and train staff as needed
  • Champion the Beyond Zero Culture within the work group.
  • Conduct daily safety meeting.
  • Track and analyze leading indicators for safety behaviors.
  • Provide Safety coaching in the field.
  • Participate in HASAP assessments for area
  • Develop safety procedures for area and loading process.
  • Provide client with data analysis of current and historical data to determine if KPI's are being achieved
  • Structure and develop training process for the Liquid Loading area.
  • Develop procedure for operating new equipment introduced to the loading process.
  • Assist with Warehouse and Liquid Loading contract negotiations
  • SWOT analysis of area on continual basis
  • Provide client ROI analysis of possible area improvements
  • Work with client and client's customers/suppliers on efficient pricing and supply of supplies for area
  • Tracking and providing data analysis for inventory levels, daily production levels, waiting times for drivers in the plant, equipment failures, etc.
  • Conduct and Time Studies for loading and develop improvement plans.
  • Develop maintain and advance client relationship through continuous improvement and value added initiatives

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree and previous supervisory experience

Preferred Skills
MBA, experience with HAZMAT, DOT 49 CFR Train the trainer qualification
