Planner Would you like to be responsible for developing long and short-term solutions to ensure effective and efficient resource planning?
Join us and become Planner for Walney Offshore Wind Farm in our UK Wind Power Operations department, where you will update and manage the site bases computerised maintenance management system SAP, and perform analysis and reporting on asset failure trends and resource allocation.
Wind Power Operations is part of Wind Power which has 1800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world's largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe.
You will be based at our Barrow office. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work.
Your key duties will be to
  • align activities to provide the efficient deployment of vessels, personnel, tooling and spares and you will create forecasts of component failure based on historic data
  • identify the risks to the integrated site plan of unforeseen delays and provide recommendations on programme slippages
  • be the site SAP super user, maintain accurate records in SAP on equipment and resource usage, raise, manage and close job requests in SAP
  • proactively capture lessons learnt and share within the team and produce reports where required
  • attend and present the integrated plan and models to the client and liaise with other service providers, contractors and third parties to maximise the efficiency of the integrated site plan.
Moreover, you will create, manage and further develop a long and short-term integrated site plan and you will develop a resource model to maximize WTG availability taking in to account weather, turbine accessibility, technician resource, vessel availability and capability.
Your qualifications and core competences include that you
  • are IT literate with knowledge and experience of planning tools including MS Project
  • have knowledge and experience of SAP and you are able to demonstrate data analysis skills
  • are able to demonstrate the ability to understand technical documentation and the ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • have knowledge of wind turbines and of Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
