As the Global Logistics Cost Strategy Leader, you will manage the life cycle financial processes from ITO to final competed Logistics budgets and supplier payments. The right candidate will understand and outline the key levers that impact logistics budgetary estimates and determine how to utilize lessons learned and incorporated necessary changes to ensure estimates are competitive.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Global Logistics Cost Strategy Leader, you will work with the logistics project managers driving a rhythm of providing timely and accurate EAC's (estimate at completion) and coordinate with finance to highlight margin impacts for the quarter and forecast the trends throughout the year. You will create a level of transparency that will allow the business to understand projected impacts to cash outflows and create and operating process to account for predicable cash flows. Additionally, this person must be able to incorporate market trends that will impact the logistics financial profile and be aggressive in understand how to capture margin opportunities and mitigate margin headwinds.
As the Global Logistics Cost Strategy Leader, you will:
  • Understand and align to the global ITO budgeting process for the GPS product catalog
  • Develop predictable levers that can be managed with sourcing as annual negotiations are completed with suppliers
  • Develop a global operating rhythm for EAC's around the project budget reviews that support margin reporting
  • Own the global freight payable process and create transparency and predictability to cash outflows on a monthly basis
  • Create a continuous learning process to analyze EAC changes and incorporate the lessons into the ITO quoting processes
  • Stay close to logistics market trends and build strategies to get out in front and optimize global logistics costing in front of the market that allow GE to be competitive and support / exceed next generation projects logistics needs
  • Show organizational leadership of key logistics metrics and create an operating rhythm for reporting operating metrics and trends to leadership


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum 2 year logistical / financial experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the Energy industry
