Job Description
We are seeking an Acoustic Test Engineer to join the Global Acoustic and Testing team for Transducer Engineering in our Issaquah, WA location.

The Acoustic Test Engineer will be a key contributor to our product development teams for ultrasound transducer and catheter products, including matrix array transducers, 1D/1.25D/1.5D array transducers, and intracardiac catheters.

Responsibilities will include:
•Plan and schedule testing of new transducer products and technologies
•Design and execute acoustic, electrical, and thermal transducer tests
•Analyze, document, and report on transducer performance results and trends
•Automate tests, including development of test instrumentation software and simple electronics hardware
•Collaborate with transducer process, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams, ultrasound imaging system organization, and acoustic output testing organization
•Support transducer manufacturing organization, including development of production-level testing plans, transfer of test equipment, and post-commercialization testing and monitoring
•Develop and manage relationships with external test engineering service providers

•BS in Physics or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience, including experience in underwater acoustic test methods, two-way tests, hydrophone-based tests, force balance tests, and system-level transducer functional testing
•Familiarity with and knowledge of the use and care of ultrasound test equipment, including oscilloscopes, hydrophones, force balance equipment, impedance analyzers, high gain power amplifiers, signal generators, and acoustic test tank equipment
•Familiarity with and knowledge of the use of high-throughput testing techniques
•Experience developing and documenting transducer acoustic, electrical, and thermal tests
•Experience designing data analysis for parameter extraction, trend analysis, and presentation
•Experience in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, and/or Excel scripting for test development and data analysis

BS/BA or advanced degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
