Job Description
Siemens PLM Mainstream helps engineering businesses become even more successful with their business - from designing and building better
products, to running their business, to getting more customers. The Product Manager is a fully dedicated business leader responsible for shaping the future of the Siemens PLM Mainstream products throughout all stages of the product life cycle (concept through end-of-life.).

Job Description:
Focus on the design aspects of Solid Edge, with an emphasis on emerging technologies such as cloud, additive manufacturing, and convergent modeling.  

Responsible for developing a comprehensive understanding of the market problems and opportunities that should be addressed by the Siemens PLM Mainstream Engineering business through strategic product recommendations.
Competitive analysis/benchmarking, determining positioning and implementing market-driven business models (pricing, packaging, revenue
sources etc.) of individual products. Gathering requirements from customers, prioritizing release content at a high level, and working with product owners and technical managers to achieve a common understanding of same. Developing business cases, coordinating with product development and product validation, and taking released product to market. Taking the product to market includes direct interaction with the
channel, customers, analysts and user groups. This includes building relationships with technology partners to create value based solution for existing or future Mainstream customers. All of these efforts must be aligned with overall Siemens PLM Mainstream strategy and internal product development processes.  Must be able to understand customer and market needs and translate them into revenue-generating application solutions in the Mainstream Engineering market.

Min. Requirements:
Education: bachelor's and/or master's degree in math, engineering,
computer science and business/marketing

-Must possess both technical skills and business acumen
-Outstanding communication and strong relationship-building skills
-Experience in Developing and presenting compelling strategic visions for products and
-Preparing, presenting and justifying financial investments through a professional business plan (net present value analysis, market forecasting models, sensitivity analyses, annualized total return etc.)
-Functional domain knowledge/expertise: core CAD, CAE, CAM & PLM concepts. Knowledge about cloud technologies and deployment and 3D
printing is a plus.
-Practical knowledge/general experience: customer engagement - working with customers to understand their needs, business plan development and implementation
-3+ years in a business-oriented, outward-facing software product management role preferred
