o Perform validation tests on vehicles/subsystems

o Review vehicle subsystem performance through review of technical specifications and owners/operating manuals

o Follow test scripts to verify subsystems operate to design intent

o Follow scripted testing and support development of independent test strategies

o Monitor vehicle response and log data through in-vehicle data bus/data acquisition software

o Isolate and log vehicle anomalies and document test information

o High School Diploma

o Good written and verbal communication skills

o Proficient with computer programs... Microsoft Office, Excel, Word...etc.

o Knowledgeable of cell phone and navigation operating systems

o Knowledgeable about automotive parts, subsystems and vehicle functions

o Able to drive/operate manual and automatic vehicles

o Able to work first or second shifts


o Electrical or Diagnostic experience

o Able to understand and troubleshoot vehicle systems

o Knowledge of the vehicle CAN bus and diagnostic tools

o Experience with data acquisition systems

o Previous vehicle or subsystem testing experience

o Self-motivated and able to work on their own

o Proactive and energetic, problem solver

o People person

o Attention to detail

o Organized, with good housekeeping skills

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements

Lifting parts, cables, and light weight instrumentation, up to 50 lbs - 60%

Safety glasses, gloves, hardened toe slip resistant shoes - 100%

High noise in some work areas, requiring use of hearing protection - 25%

Sitting (50%), Standing (50%), Bending (25%), stooping (25%)

Job requires manual labor

Work Environment

Inside facility - 100%

Energized samples, rotating parts - 50%

Equipment and Machines

Computers, copy machines, fax machines - 75%

Hand tools, multi-meters, and other electrical diagnostic devices - 10%


Monday through Friday - 100%

Dayshift 7:00am-3:30pm, but Shift must be able to support our flexible test schedule into other shifts and/or weekends

Punctuality and regular attendance are critical - 100%

Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

Other Essential Functions

Must have a Valid Driver license, pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
