About this role

Working for a world leader in offshore construction, you will provide structural support for studies, tenders, commercial projects and internal business development products.

You will perform the concept and detailed designs of offshore fit for purpose lifting arrangements and steel structures, from lifting appliances and lift points, to lift arrangements, grillage and sea fastening.

Aside from this, you will also demonstrate your keen analytical skills through conducting structural strength verification analyses. This includes advanced non-linear Finite Element Analysis, by use of software packages such as SACS and ABAQUS.

You'll also review construction reports and drawings and perform quality control on deliverables prepared by colleagues.

About you

You are great at what you do because you are able to provide practical solutions to complex issues, whilst still keeping in line with the dynamics of a project organization.

We are looking for someone with an owner's mind set. The type of person who is insurgent and obsessed with the front-line.

Driven by quality and always keeping the result in sight, you have the ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.

You are also aware of the interests that are important to the other, various divisions of the organization. Not to mention, knowing who the decision makers and influential people are.

Aside from this, you have:

• A Bachelor and/or Master degree Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering• A minimum of 2 years' experience in engineering, project preparation and execution of offshore projects
• A willingness and enthusiasm to share your knowledge with less experienced junior engineers• The ambition to work (temporarily) at yards, offshore on our vessels or in other offices.

What we offer

This is a permanent position and you will be based in London.

Aside from 25 days leave and the option to participate in the company health insurance, you will also benefit from over £5000 travel allowance.

Your employer will also contribute 8% of your workplace salary into your workplace pension scheme.
