Telecom Commissioning Engineer
Telecom Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for delivery of Telecom systems commissioning across Topsides.
Site Management Safety walk through, Risk assessments, Risk Assess It, Talk It, check It (RTC)
Permit to Work (PTW), Incident reporting and investigation
Safety Observation and Conversation (SOC)
Behavioural Observation safety System (BOSS)
Review and comment on Engineering contractors AFD documents, provide commissioning perspective to Design.
Review of Engineering Contractors AFC design documents.
Participation in Telecom systems Hazops, Safops.
Specifying and raising Purchase Orders for required Telecom Safety equipment and Telecom Test Equipment.
Attending project meetings as required.
Experienced in the Compilation and Verification of Telecom System boundaries
Providing engineering assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of Telecom issues.
Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests.
Review and acceptance of contractor supplied procedures and activities for installation of all Telecom equipment.
Responsible for the compilation of relevant Commissioning Test Procedures (CTP) for the Telecom Power, Distribution and Generation systems.
Responsible for the execution of all relevant work-scopes detailed within the CTP's.
Responsible for the safety & management of Suppliers' representatives when on-site for the commissioning works of subsequent items of equipment.
Compilation of all necessary reports.
Ensuring Telecom commissioning personnel carry out their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures
Encourage development of Azerbaijani National personnel
Provide advice, coaching and training of Azerbaijani National personnel
Act as an Area Authority within Permit To Work Procedures.
Attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills.
Significant experience of Telecom Commissioning Activities, including knowledge of associated codes and practices.
Significant experience in a wide range of Telecom Systems including but not limited to, PAGA, UHF/VHF Radio, CCTV, Fibre Optic/Structured cable networks, DWDM, Metrological systems.
Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Design, Construction Contractors and Operations entities.
Experience with HSSE issues related to on-site construction activities.
Understanding of Construction & Commissioning Defined Practices for both Greenfield and Brownfield projects and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality.
