Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Business Analyst is a member of the Projects team within T&S Compliance.

The T&S Compliance Projects team is responsible for:
  • Delivering all major Compliance projects (for example Project Zeta, Financial Crime remediation projects and projects to implement new regulatory requirements).

The Business Analyst will be expected to:
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to understand detailed requirements relating to Compliance projects;
  • Analyse requirements and user needs to agree detailed functional and technical specifications with IT;
  • Gather and analyse data relating to implementation option costs, benefits and risks;
  • Support the creation of test cases;
  • Assist with change management activities including transition planning, training and communications;
  • Work with the Business Excellence team to model Compliance processes.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as Business Analyst.
  • Some experience of project management methodologies - Prince, PMP, Agile or other waterfall and non-traditional systems.
  • Experience of specifying and writing detailed requirements.
  • Ability to understand issues and specify IT solutions.
  • An understanding of trading and financial terminology.
  • Ability to shape and solve problems using a structured approach.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • A sound knowledge of the T&S Businesses (including Crude, Products, Energy, Shipping, Operations and Supply) would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of global financial regulatory compliance requirements and technology is desirable.
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation, both internally and externally, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Credible and persuasive in ensuring the needs of our complex business are fully understood, resolve conflict and deliver tough messages.
