We're seeking an experienced analyst to work in an exciting and growing trading environment. Bring your mix of commercial knowledge and technical talent to a cutting-edge global team, with every opportunity to shape your career within a supportive company.

Where you fit in

As Business Analyst - Electricity Supply, you'll be part of Shell's IT delivery team for our Electricity Supply, Generation and Trading business, with a focus to drive the company's ambition to be the largest electricity company by 2030.

The challenge currently facing the energy industry is considerable - that's why your experience of supplying electricity to Industrial and Commercial customers, and its generation from Wind, Solar and Flexible assets, will be crucial to achieving our ambitions and shaping Shell's direction in the business community.

What's the role?

In a role that excitingly links new energies and trading, you'll be supporting the design and build of systems to support our power execution team, working with software vendors as well as specifying how in-house applications should be built or changed.

This is a rapidly evolving business area within a dynamic environment and as such you'll need to be able to adapt fast, balancing many different opportunities at the same time, easily recognizing links between wide ranging issues, and resolving complex problems right the way through, always with the end user in mind.

Your strong track record of delivering high quality software will see you effectively translating commercial and operational problems (from tracking invoices and payments to customer queries and meter issues) into solutions that work seamlessly in a complex and ever-changing business.

Finally, your strong people skills will mean you'll easily nurture trustworthy relationships with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, that will inspire others to work more effectively.
