Quantity Surveyor - Renewable Heat Insulation
Quantity Surveyor needed for the Renewable Heat Insulation industry in Edinburgh.

You'll be working within the Ratho office and travelling to sites across the UK. You will report into the to the Commercial and Portfolio Manager, this role requires the ability to develop close working relationships with colleagues across many departments.
The main division you will be involved in will be Energy Solutions. It is an established business formed to address the growing market for low-carbon and energy efficiency products and services.
Energy Solutions business currently deliver £30m of energy efficiency measures across the UK and with ambitious growth targets.
They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who'll be responsible for pre-contract project scoping, estimating, tendering and awarding of contracts. You'll also manage the post contract elements of the energy related projects.
Your Skills and Experience
Ideally, you'll either have a relevant Quantity Surveyor qualification with previous experience in a similar role or be able to demonstrate the exceptional qualities needed to excel in this challenging position.
A background in the External Wall Insulation industry and related Energy measures / ECO knowledge would be massively beneficial, as would detailed knowledge of the supply chain with respect to the delivery of these measures.
You'll have a working knowledge of construction contracts including NEC, JCT and bespoke contract arrangement. You'll also be organised and methodical with high attention to detail. As you will be travelling to different sites, a full driving licence is essential.
The company is based in the Rural West Edinburgh area of Edinburgh. Ratho is located close to both the M8 and the M9 motorways. The A8 and A71 run parallel to the north and the south of the village. These are two of the major roads running into Edinburgh. There is a network of paths around Ratho and the surrounding area, and you can also walk or cycle along the canal towpath.
