Rope Access Blade Technicians
Must be based in the US!
The Rope Access Technician is responsible for carrying out standard rope access operations to perform inspection, maintenance, repairs and other industrial work tasks on wind blades while on ropes. Technicians must have the ability to perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information. Responsibilities may also include rescue operations, technical reports and administrative tasks. Work hours, locations, shifts and nature of work assignments vary greatly, and travel is required.
Essential Job Functions:
Uses Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of inspection, maintenance, repairs and other industrial work tasks on wind blades while on ropes or in difficult access areas.
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to the client safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern;
Utilizes proper personal protective equipment.
Displays a healthy respect for heights and follows all OSHA, site specific and Team safety procedures.
Participates in required training and maintains a working understanding of rope access safe working practices.
Inspects and verifies rope access systems and components before use.
Recognizes site hazards and notifies the Rope Access Supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Maintains proficiency at rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.
Performs physical activities that require considerably use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing and walking.
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $25-$35 based on experience
Per diem: TBC

Qualification /certifications needed:
- Osha 10
- First Aid
- Irata Level 3 or Sprat Level 3 for Supervisors
- Irata Level 1 or Level 2 for Technicians
- Respirator Fit Certification
- Platform Rigging & Operation
- Fire Awareness
- Confined Space and Rescue
- Working at Heights and Rescue
- Fall Protection
- Hazcom & Respiratory Protection
- Electrical Safety & LOTO
