Geoscience is the scientific study of the world's core and is often used to determine the history of certain areas of land and what may lie underneath the earth's surface. It is particularly useful for the discovery of oil and natural gas.
Becoming a Geoscientist
To commence a career in geoscience, an individual (as an absolute minimum) must obtain a bachelor's degree in geoscience, geology or physics. However, for the more financially-attractive positions, a geoscientist will have achieved a Masters or Ph.D.
