The successful candidate will be based in Cork and take a leadership position as a Department Manager.Why apply with Sonas ?Early access to other opportunities not yet posted on jobs boardsOne point of contact – We can manage all your applications, interviews and negotiationsWe will get your CV seen by the right hiring managersKey Responsibilities:Lead the CSA department among a portfolio of exciting life science projectsLiaise and manage stakeholders, external clients and 3rd partiesMentor and manage junior engineersOwnership of the safety and quality of civil/structural designsProvide civil, structural engineering technical services and solutions from concept through to detailed design, delivering robust designs for buildings, foundations, access platforms, pipe racks as well as equipment support structures and foundationsManage and co-ordinate all relevant civil/structural engineering and associated disciplines’ activities required to successfully deliver projects to approved scope, budget and programme including the management of civil/structural works contractsBuild and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholdersKey Requirements:Level 8 Civil /Structural Engineering Degree10 years’ relevant experienceStrong technical capability, in civil and structural engineering design and competence to deliver civil/structural engineering packageA strong commercial and project management awarenessAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities across projectsExperience in performing PSDP/PD role on projectsExperience in life science projects an advantage
