JOB SCOPE:
To design, procure, and assemble parts for testing mechanical prototype assemblies per application.
To create written reports including digital photographs, spreadsheets, and record data from tests being performed.
Report and document all changes directly with the engineering with all new prototype assemblies. 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support other departments by machining prototype parts, gathering parts from inventory, or procuring parts from a variety of vendors.
Prioritize duties and be organized with all assignments.
Perform long duration vibration tests.
Keep work area and tool box clean and organized.
Report and reorder low inventory on expendables.   
QUALIFICATIONS

 SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems and high-pressure applications.
Able to suggest direction, thoughts or ideas while diagnosing test results of mechanical assemblies and report directly to responsible engineer.  
Has prototype machine shop experience and has minimum of 5 years experience on engine lathe and milling machine.
Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment and inspection of mechanical parts.
Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to read and interpret mechanical assembly prints and machined part drawings.
Must be willing to work overtime with limited or no notice and willing to come to work anytime needed.
Capable of soldering with HMP (High Melting Point) solder.
Must be willing and able to work outside in summer heat or winter cold environment and capable of swinging a 10-pound sledgehammer.
Preferred:
Understanding of typical electrical schematics and able to wire controls for a variety of test applications...I.e. - Motors, starts, timers, solenoids, counters, pressure transducers
Has been exposed or has worked in a fabrication shop and knows typical welding structure fabrication.
Must be experienced forklift operator
Shipping and receiving experience.
Manual Machinist Experience.
AutoCad experience
Basic electronic understanding and uses of electronic test equipment including DVM, oscilloscope, power supplies, function generator, etc.
