Tasks:
Students at ABB are high potential students and developers who strive to create and implement new solutions for industry.

-As part of the operations management group at ABB Corporate Research Center Germany you will develop and test thermal models of buildings and/or electric models of micro grid components.
- The models will be designed to support automated system identification and to be used as online optimization models in a predictive control environment.
- We expect that you show readiness to tackle difficult problems, above-average motivation to implement thermal and/or electric models for advanced control of buildings and micro grids and pro-activeness to come up with new ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.

Requirements:
- You are studying mechanical, control/process/electrical Engineering or related.
- You are in the final phase of your Bachelor/Master education and interested in optimal thermal and electric control of buildings and/or micro grids.
- You have extensive knowledge in thermal modeling of buildings, system identification or model predictive control.
- Experience with Modelica (Dymola, OpenModelica), Energy Plus, Design Builder and Matlab is of advantage.
- You can communicate fluently in English or German in verbal and written form.
