We are looking for a PMO Manager to join our Data Quality team, this is a permanent role to be based in either Leeds or Durham. The PMO Manager is ultimately responsible for the set up and running of a programme office for the data programme, covering all aspects of the programme, change lifecycle and quality standards. The role will provide strategic challenge, overview and scrutiny, ensuring alignment with wider policy and strategic initiatives.

Role description Develop and implement the terms of reference for the Programme Office

Work with the Data Quality Assurance Manager and wider team to define and implement the programme governance framework

Develop, maintain and evolve programme controls, processes and procedures across the Data programme

Work with the Data Qyuality Assurance Manager and wider team to create strategies for the effective planning, monitoring and delivery of the programme

Support the overall integrity and coherence of the programme

Support the senior management team in sanctioning projects for inclusion in the programme. Including ensuring any existing initiatives and projects are effectively adopted into the programme

Maintain close relationships between other key programmes that are currently under way, as well as other bodies, to ensure that there are no overlaps in responsibilities. Also identify dependencies between the programme and other programmes/business change initiatives

Provide an ongoing health check of the programme by reassessing whether it will continue to meet the overall objectives

Report progress to the senior management team via management dashboards

Facilitate benefits reviews on behalf of the senior management team

Set up access to policy and strategic information

Be responsible for team objectives, one-to-one reviews and evaluation, and the continual improvement of the Programme Office and its services

The role holder will also be required to keep an up to date view of all fixes and changes raised from Data Quality investigations

Skills and experience Strong leadership and management skills; coupled with strong programme and project methodology skills, to ensure the integrity of the programme

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with the senior management team, business teams, project teams and any third party service providers to ensure that all initiatives meet the objectives of the domestic business

Commercial acumen / the ability to understand the wider objectives of the Data team; have credibility in the environment and influence stakeholders effectively

High level of PC literacy including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Project

Working experience of programme controls

Highly organised and have a structured and logical approach in order to gain maximum benefit from available resources and ensure deadlines are achieved

Welcomes change, is empowered and works with colleagues to identify ways of achieving improved results

Sound analytical skills, capable of clearly identifying and solving problems proactively

High standard of accuracy and numerical skills
