Npower Digital are currently looking to recruit a key role into their management structure, this role as Digital Product Manager will report directly into the Digital Director.

This role will be full time and based in Princes Way, Solihull, with some travel to other offices on occasions.

Role description The Digital Product Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the digital product strategy that drives the business forward commercially. This includes the creation of a product roadmap in line with npowers investment in Digital. As the Digital Product manager youll be working with people across the company, including commercial, operations, process, finance, marketing, and our leadership team to ensure all stakeholders engage at the front end of our digital specification and direction. This engagement includes translation of complex customer journeys, propositions and capability into credible digital products.

The role will have responsibility for managing the existing product portfolio as part of our agile delivery methodology. Ensuring that tactical adjustments are made and managed to coincide with the longer term strategy and delivery of value. In particular ensure that product features and online development supports the achievement of our business targets, and respond to the requirements to improve the overall customer experience. The role will support the identification and execution of key product initiatives growing npowers online experience. Working with the Digital Capability & Assurance Manager and the Digital Optimisation Manager the role holder will develop product delivery strategies and agree priorities across the business for delivery by the development and programme teams.

As a key function within our agile delivery model the role will drive benefits of getting new digital features out to our customers as quickly as possible. Discovering and managing a backlog of innovations which create sustainable and disruptive opportunities for npower in the digital space. The role will be the owner and evangelist for our digital product offering engaging with internal stakeholders and teams to develop the product proposition and owning the product through the delivery cycle and into the live environment, including the embedding and support of new features and the training of broader business teams.

Skills and experience 1. Extensive experience of digital, with specific focus on Digital Product and delivery in a corporate environment in recent history

2. Highly numerate, experience of financial planning and analysis

3. Experience of definition and management of a Product Roadmap across a large Corporate

4. Experience in building investment cases in the order of £m (10s)

5. Understand customer, industry and digital technology trends and able translate these into identifiable opportunities for the Organisation

6. Extensive experience and in depth knowledge of Digital across strategy, delivery, business process and customer angles

7. Solid experience of stakeholder management and influencing at a senior level

8. Strong Leadership skills with people management experience

9. Significant experience of working in a complex business environment, supporting planning and major initiatives

Accountabilities: 1. Own and operate the Digital Product roadmap and backlog, ensuring all items are appropriately discovered and engaged with key stakeholders across all npower segments, ensuring planned benefits realisation with strategies to optimise benefits phasing through Agile delivery

2. Manage a team of Product Owners across multiple disciplines and programmes, e.g. Digital and Smart as a key input and driver to the agile delivery process. Ensuring effective ordering of requirements delivery, balancing CSAT and financial impacts

3. Influence and lead the direction of the core digital plan by assessing and understanding associated value of initiatives ahead of prioritisation and delivery commitment. Supporting strategic thinking with commercial awareness to ensure product range supports the companys overall strategy and goals

4. Work closely with the delivery teams, (both internally and 3rd party) in the capacity of 'Product Manager'. Ensuring a clearly prioritised backlog is maintained, addressing questions/concerns and owning priority calls. This includes ensuring that the hopper is always full and ready for execution when capacity is available.

5. Work with Product Design / UX teams to place a 'customer centric' design process at the heart of our delivery. Understanding customers first hand their 'jobs' and associated pains and gains. Delivering features iteratively to unlock commercial value earlier in the product lifecycle through definition of the MVP and subsequent iterations.

6. Develop and evangelise to both internal and external stakeholders the vision of digital and retail for our customers. Translating this into a tangible product roadmap with a clearly prioritised product backlog.

7. Responsible for identifying and utilising partner capability, enabling npower to accelerate Digital potential recognising synergy and differentiation where appropriate

8. A member of the UK Digital Leadership Team representing UK activity on the European stage allowing outflow of best practice and expertise

9. Responsible for the delivery of defined projects allocated by the UK Head of Digital in support of npowers Digital ambitions. These projects will operate at a senior level including engagement with stakeholders from npowers Executive Committee and next line reports
