The Digital Product Service Engineer (PSE) is focused on providing Engineering support to our regional customers to maintain or increase their digital tools performance. This position will lead and/or provide the key technical direction to ensure that the digital field problems are solved and the customer units are back to operation in a timely basis. Be recognized as technical leader to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for field problem resolution.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Lead and provide the engineering technical support across functional teams to resolve Digital field issues on Latin America GE Power fleet.
2. Provide the technical solutions to reduce the units unscheduled downtime.
3. Lead the collaboration in GE Engineering to technically solve digital customer issues.
4. Review, interpret, and clarify customer work requests, questions and doubts.
5. Monitor and communicate filed issue resolution status, business issues and significant developments.
6. Identify and Increase the value of our GE Digital products for our customers.
7. Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Manuals, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
8. Provide technical leadership to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.
9. Provide Digital/Software Engineering support to the customer. This includes interacting with Sales and other Engineering teams to provide relevant performance, engine operation, and process information.
10. Provide guidance to the field engineers (TAs) on site during difficult or non-standard procedures.
11. Participate into multidisciplinary teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and product/program requirements.
12. Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems for this customer.
13. Lead the solution of complex technical problems on field.
14. Coordination with Commercial team, other Engineering teams, and Drafting personnel to ensure solutions are compatible with customer needs, GE design standards and established quoting limits.
15. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects.
16. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
17. Lead multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
18. Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal and external GE costumers through the analysis, preparation and presentation of technical data.

Qualifications/Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering (Software related disciplines) plus 6 years of experience in related field or Master's degree plus 4 years of experience in related field or PhD plus 2 years of experience in related field.
• Experience of software product deployment.
• Experience of design and implementation of object oriented software products
• Experience of software development using Java and ECLIPSE
• Experience with Design Patterns
• Experience of interfacing with data using SQL, XML and JSON
• Experience using Maven
• Experience using Predix
• Experience using Angular JS or related framework
• Experience with RESTful Services
• Working knowledge of O(n) Notation
• CSS, HTML5 and NODE.js
• Willing to relocate to Queretaro
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Demonstrated ability in managing complex projects across functions.
• Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments.
• Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
• Able to visit customers to deploy and discuss solutions
• Able to build a cooperation network across the GE organization.

Desired Characteristics

• Field experience in Aeroderivative units, Heavy Duty engines, Heat Exchangers, Steam turbines and turbomachinery.
