The Company:
Our client is an well known Oil & Gas company operating across the Middle East. Due to newly won projects, they are currently seeking to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor to work on a 30/28 rotation at their project in Iraq.

The Role:
Executes all planned, corrective, and campaign mechanical rotating & stationary maintenance activities in order to facilitate related project work. Leads a team of skilled technicians, including mechanical rotating & stationary disciplines and manages interfaces with operations, engineering to ensure that plant integrity and safe operations are maintained. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Directs all mechanical maintenance activities at LPG recovery plant.
2. Leads a team of skilled technicians and trainees.
3. Conversant with power generation, gas turbines, centrifugal/reciprocating compressors.
4. Leads ad-hoc teams of contract and vendor technicians for construction and maintenance work as required.
5. Ensures that plant and equipment is maintained according to compliance and integrity standards in order to meet expected Reliability and 'uptime' Key Performance Indicators.
6. Liaises closely with Production Operations, Maintenance and Engineering teams in activity planning, engineering change and cost control.
7. Ensures that procedures for the safe execution of tasks are in place and adhered to (including Task Instructions, Permits-to Work, Task Risk Assessments, and Toolbox Talks).
8. Ensures that all activities are accurately recorded in the maintenance management system, providing all necessary reports to the Operations support team.
9. Assists in recruiting, mentoring, training, and appraising maintenance personnel.
10. Participates in Emergency Response organization as required (this may include responsibilities in Search & Rescue and Fire Fighting).

11. Introduces new maintenance systems and procedures which will improve the effectiveness of the maintenance functions.
Functional Policies and Guidelines
12. Develops maintenance policies and guidelines for the smooth, efficient and effective delivery of all operations.
Reporting and Communication
13. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on all issues relating own responsibilities.
14. Exhibits and maintains excellent working relationships with all staff.
Continuous Improvement of Position
15. Conducts studies to identify areas for improving facilities on a continuous basis in order to facilitate the operations. Recommends improvement actions and practices to senior management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
1) Mechanical Technical institute level educated

2) At least 10 years' experience in the oil & gas industry. Discipline training to 'skilled' level in a relevant maintenance engineering function HNC /HND level (Mechanical, Welding, Pipefitter)
