This role will be measured on its customer relationship and the ability to produce financial and operating results for the Contractual Service business.  Each Sr Services Manager - Contract Performance Mgmt will be required to work independently to manage long-term service agreements.  Sr Services Manager - Contract Performance Mgmtare co-located with their respective customer and be responsible for delivering high quality customer solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Sr Services Manager - Contract Performance Mgmt, you will:
  • Take ownership of the customer relationship & ability to meet internal GE objectives
  • Plan / coordinate activities on site of a larger project to fulfill a customer order according to contract / financial / commercial parameters and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be responsible for outage scope planning and execution, including safety and closeout oversight
  • Oversee Extra Work, Job Cost Estimator (JCE), policy 6 target setting, and scope management for assigned customers
  • Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including customer interface, negotiations, preparation, and contract interpretation
  • Work with the owners O&M to optimize reliability and availability in order to increase the facility's efficiency and profitability
  • Respond to the customer's technical inquiries
  • Maintain all contract related documentation such as extra work time sheets, insurance documents and etc.
  • Update and maintain input in the Field Service Portal (FSP), including the Oracle Field Services (OFS) system
  • Coordinate activities between field services (field engineers/craft labor), repairs and parts
  • Order, track and QC all covered parts and provide support in identifying parts, part numbers and drawings
  • Maintain unit operating history and parts life history for site and customer fleet
  • Support customer in forced, unplanned and planned unit outages
  • Order / track / validate Billing for major/minor maintenance parts and services requested by the customer
  • Be responsible for Quality and EHS oversight on work performed at assigned customer sites
  • Provide information and drive sales regarding the latest advancements in conversion, modification & upgrade opportunities to owner & as well as other up selling opportunities
  • Maintain unit operating history & parts life history on commercially available software
  • Maintain record of parts (by model & serial number) currently installed in each unit
  • Build strong partnerships within the value chain organization which will be extremely important to deliver high quality services
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of power plant or machine driven industries


  • Bachelor's Degree in Science / Business / Engineering (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in power generation industry)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant field services or contract management
  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

  • Be over two sites with a total of nine units for the same customer
  • Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt or equivalent Quality certification (GE Employees ONLY)
  • 7FA Gas Turbine, GE Steam Turbine and BOP knowledge
  • Familiarity with long-term parts and services contracts
  • Service experience with direct customer interface
  • G/T Field Engineering Program (FEP) or other G/T Technical experience
  • Successful P&L experience
  • Demonstrated communication & organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer tools
  • Strong business / financial skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Technically savvy while having strong business acumen and ability to drive overall solutions/rigor to meet customer needs
  • Ability to take lead role in routine contracts
