Operates as a lead engineer for wind turbine aero elastic simulations and lead different New Product Introductions (NPIs), Services & Cost-out programs. Provide technical guidance on system simulation tools / procedures, Design Practices & regulations (International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), GL & Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) guidelines)

Essential Responsibilities

• Implement control technologies to mitigate mechanical loads & improve turbine power performance.
• Drive simplification in the loads certification efforts and resolve complex technical challenges to obtain certifications.
• Collaborate with wind farm engineering team and provide solutions to enhance application space.
• Drive global team development through communication, partnering and mentoring to drive local expertise and transfer of knowledge.
• Provide support and technical expertise for mechanical loads issues seen in simulation or in the fleet for Systems organization and across component Center of Excellence's (CoE's).
• Work closely across the business and global team members to ensure high quality and consistency on system simulation techniques & practices.


Qualifications/Requirements

• Master degree from an accredited university in Mechanical engineering, civil engineering or aerospace engineering
• In depth knowledge on aero, hydro, fatigue, system dynamics & mechanics
• Expert knowledge of Wind turbine aero elastic system simulations (Flex5, Bladed etc.)
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, proven leadership skills and a positive energy

Desired Characteristics

• Master degree from an accredited university in Mechanical engineering, civil engineering or aerospace engineering
• Experience in wind turbine control technologies, operability & validation
• Expert knowledge on wind turbine component design criteria
• Experience in software development for system simulation tools including specifications, theory manuals and flow chart
