A market-leading supplier of specialist components to the F1 and Motorsport industries is looking to grow their design team with the addition of another Mechanical Design Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on essential components for 90% of the top racing teams. This is an industry where the company is trusted to deliver world-class products to highly demanding timescales. Customer requirements are constantly evolving, so the design work will be varied and constantly challenging. You will be designing with varied materials including titanium, stainless steel and aluminium and creating components which are as lightweight as possible.

Typical responsibilities could include:

- Customer visits for design brief discussions

- Mocking up prototype systems

- Design and detailing of products for specific customer needs

- Conducting FMEA

The following experience is required, with strong support from the company towards developing these skills:

- Experience working in Mechanical Design within motorsport, aerospace or similar industry

- Good 3D CAD skill

- Knowledge of or interest in motorsport or cars is beneficial

The salary is up to £40,000 depending upon experience. As a full time employee you will benefit from holiday allowance which increases with length of service, a profit-sharing bonus scheme and overtime paid at time-and-a-half.
