Jacobs is seeking to fill a Logistics Manager TTR Systems position located in Ridgecrest, CA. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of Tactical Training Range (TTR) Systems component logistics support.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Monitor TTR systems component maintenance policies, procedures, and failure trends to insure established procedures are within the maintenance philosophy of TTR systems and TTR systems operational community.
  • Conduct reviews of maintenance procedures and report changes to PMA-205 logistics POC for incorporation, if changes/updates in the equipment occur.
  • Develop spares budgets for TTR systems.
  • Establish equipment spare levels and periodically review all TTR systems operational locations onboard spares/repair parts to ensure adequate allowances are available to support planned operations.
  • Review the maintenance plan and establish allowances for new equipment, if required.
  • Review and comment on all Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERDs) and other Technical Documentation Package (TDP) changes that have logistic impacts to TTR systems.
  • Review/comment on all software/firmware changes that impact the system.
  • Ensure adequate documentation is available for incorporation into the appropriate technical manuals.
  • Review and/or prepare logistic reports as required that may include, but will not be limited to the following: Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSP); integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP); User Logistics Support Summaries (ULSS); Logistics Requirement and Funding Summary (LRFS); Logistics and Maintenance Analysis Plans; Spare/Repair Parts Listings; Validation & Verification Reports (ValVer); Configuration Management Plans (CMP); Data Management Plans (DMP); Software Life Cycle Management Plans (SLCMP); Software Change Processing Guide.
  • Conduct on-site reviews and monitor factory acceptance testing for new and/or upgraded TTR systems components and subsystems.
  • Support CMMI process development and implementation activities and provide inputs.
  • Responsibilities include: Equipment documentation management, technical library management, drawing(s) updates, technical manuals and drawings verification and validation, monitoring of factory acceptance testing, failure trend analysis, identification of spare and repair parts requirement, development of logistics requirements for new systems, identifying qualified replacement components for obsolete hardware and on-site logistics support as required.
Experience Requirements:
  • Possess extensive expertise in logistics support including maintenance planning, documentation preparation, provisioning, budgeting, and integration and test of TTR systems equipment.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of TTR systems to include both participant instrumentation packages and ground systems, associated data link systems, and the operation and maintenance of the data processing systems and TTR systems.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of TTR systems.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, persistence, and patience in dealing with changes to support requirements for TTR systems as a result of TTR systems enhancements, upgrades, and evolution and as a result of range/range personnel changes for maintaining the TTR systems operational.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, persistence, and patience in accommodating changes to TTR systems support requirements as a result of other TTR systems support requirements.

Educational Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field along with 20 years of general work experience and 15 years of related experience.

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; Must be able to secure and obtain a US government secret security clearance.

Essential Functions

Work Environment:

Working at a computer or desk (Considerations: sitting, eyes, hands). May involve long periods of sitting or standing depending on current tasking.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary - involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Exerts up 10 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Equipment and Machines:

Personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, laser printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential. Must be able to work within the shift hours of 0800 and 1700.

Other Essential Functions:
  1. Must be able to secure a security clearance.
  2. Must pass drug testing.
  3. Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
  4. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

  6. Travel requirements - Must be capable of traveling throughout the world.
