ENERCON Services, Inc. has an opening for an Environmental Compliance Lead in Houston, TX. Position will focus on Environmental Compliance Consulting Services and group supervision. Duties will include:
  • Direct, Coordinate, and Manage Environmental Compliance projects for existing clients.
  • Perform Environmental Compliance consulting services for a variety of industries: Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Petro-Chemical, Industrial, Commercial, Water & Wastewater treatment, etc.
  • Interface directly with clients to develop project scope with cost estimates for Environmental Compliance Services.
  • Supervision of group staff.
  • Assist with hiring and managing staff.
  • Manage sub-contractors as projects require.
  • Assist with business development of existing and new clients.

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Environmental Science or related field. Advanced and / or Engineering degree preferred.
  • Candidates should be well versed in federal and state regulations pertaining to environmental compliance.
  • Minimum 8 years of environmental consulting experience which must include experience performing Environmental Compliance Services. Specific expertise in the following is required: Spill investigation and Oilfield Remediation, SPCC Plans, SWP3s, ER Plans, RMPs, Tier II Reports, and PSM Programs. Past project experience in Air Permitting / Inspection / Auditing / Applicability Determinations is a plus.
  • Environmental certifications, licensee, registrations, etc. (i.e. PE, PG, REP, REM, CAPM, 40hr HAZWOPER, etc.) are desired.
  • Safe driving record and ability to travel to and from project sites 25% - 30% of the time.
  • Some overnight travel to areas throughout the United States may be required.
  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal communication skills with ability to maintain & develop client relationships.
  • Problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills.
  • Project management, business development, & proposal development experience.
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Office Word / Excel / Outlook.

  • Ability to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Position may occasionally involve a client site assignment lasting several months at a time.
