• Lead development of strategic project management assessments related to resources, tooling, and materials to support business area customer needs.
• Possess a thorough understanding of advanced project management, planning, scheduling, cost, and risk methods and techniques including associated performance tools.
• Research and analyze/assess complex, integrated project schedules and implementation steps and processes related to the planning function. Evaluate, internal to the organization, the strategic needs of the business relative to resource planning and develop strategic assessments (resource manpower, equipment, and material needs). Develop, and recommend to management, plans to address those needs.
•Assess sophisticated critical path utilizing software tools (P6 & MS Project) to integrate and display special program activities which establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, funding and materials.
• Lead implementation of strategic process/business process improvement plans. Act as the catalyst to resolve diverse concerns/objectives and competing priorities within the business segment.
• Oversee resource planning and scheduling activities: lead and coordinate efforts of other planners and participate in the performance feedback process; assess work environment and advise management of resource needs; recommend appropriate training of staff, upgrades or equipment replacement. Identify good and adverse trends with cost and risk data.
• Recommend and implement operational and organizational structure adjustments designed to enhance planning operations.
• Develop integrated schedule, cost, and risk plans with the appropriate level of details to minimize data manipulation for report presentation.
• Lead studies and analyses of overall planning operations within the business segment to improve efficiency and cost and to identify and implement best practices and process improvements.
• Assume process ownership for the enterprise business information system for a business segment.
• Design system training and maintenance programs and coordinate training effort for use of software planning tools and Westinghouse project management processes. Utilize train-the-trainer techniques to build internal training.
• Assume leadership role in implementation of new policies and programs.

Job Requirements
  • • Recommend and resolve logic conflicts based on relationships to other work tasks and technical requirements; must be able to act quickly to allow for inclusion of new work requirements.
    • Objectively participate in critique/lessons learned programs among Westinghouse, the utility, and suppliers to foster constructive problem solving.
    • Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills to effectively provide guidance, direction, and assistance
    • Develop and maintain relationship with key internal customer contacts.
    • Negotiate schedules that best meet project goals for effective use of plant, Westinghouse, and other vendors' resources to complete the work scope on time.
    Familiarity with plant systems, plant operations and manufacturing is desirable.
    • Provide "what-if" scenarios and contributes to risk analysis
    • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, and have the judgment and experience to identify and evaluate cost and progress trends.
    • Experience with Primavera 6 or equivalent program is required. SAP experience is a plus.
    • Synergy work with cross functions to discuss the project schedule is required
    • 4+ years of Project planning/scheduling. In addition to cost accounting, budget forecasting and critical path scheduling experience is required.(Nuclear Power industry a plus)
