Job Overview:

Support Construction Night Shift Personnel performing pipe installation for the IPL Eagle Valley Combined Cycle Project in Martinsville, IN.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Review/interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other design documents
  • Prepare construction work packages
  • Perform field walk downs/inspections to review the work for conformance with the design drawings, specifications, applicable codes/standards, and company policies/procedures
  • Red-line drawings to show as-built conditions
  • Prepare/answer Request for Information, Field Change Requests, and Field Work Order Requests
  • Prepare field purchase requisitions for both permanent plant material and equipment as well as temporary construction equipment and materials
  • Develop Piping Test Packages and manage testing activities.
  • Prepare system turnover packages
  • Proactively identify potential problems in the field
  • Develop alternatives, arrive at optimum solution and means to mitigate problems
  • Recommends best practices
  • Employee must be agreeable to work overtime and weekends.
  • Employee must be capable of climbing ladders, scaffolding and wearing fall protection.
  • The position requires field assignment for extended period of time, and the work is performed in outside field environment with frequent walking & climbing required. May have to lift and carry small loads (

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5-15 years' experience is required.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 20 years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
