Project Engineer - Elastomer required for Omni Seals, A Schlumberger Company. We manufacture custom rubber molded products, bond rubber to metal, rubber to fabric, rubber to plastic and rubber to PTFE. We combine a blend of technologies and the expertise of our people, and tackle the toughest product designs, develop successful materials and follow up with on-time delivery of the finished product. In addition, we manufacture a wide range of rubber and other seals for various industries.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Developing and optimizing manufacturing process for molded elastomeric parts.
  • Identify and implement equipment and process improvements.
  • Address and trouble shoot manufacturing and quality related problems.
  • Assess current manufacturing process, identify and act upon improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in tool design for Injection, Transfer and Compression mold.
  • Assist in prototype of First Article production.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production) or related studies with 2+ years of related experience.
  • Extensive engineering experience in rubber manufacturing.
  • Technical skills in manufacturing techniques, process improvement and process development engineering.
  • Experience with injection, compression and transfer molding.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Plant level analytical test methods and operating procedures
  • Thorough understanding of failure analysis.
  • Experience with Injection, Compression and Transfer molding.
  • Intermediate analytical skills.
  • Good verbal, written communication skills and at problem-solving.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
  • Microsoft Office and computerized systems and applications (Oracle experience preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects successfully
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
