The Brilliant Factory Optimization Leader will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to improve the speed, quality, and productivity of GE Power manufacturing operations through the use of real-time factory data collection, analysis, and presentation technologies.

Essential Responsibilities

Factory Optimization is a key component of the GE Brilliant Factory initiative chartered to digitally link together design, product engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and remanufacturing (or servicing) into one cohesive, intelligent system.

The Factory Optimization Leader will be a key member of the new Advanced Manufacturing Works (AMW) organization. The role will focus on making the AMW facility and do design Brilliant Factory technologies new manufacturing processes being developed in the AMW. Additionally, this role will have leadership to drive the adoption of Brilliant Factory into all the GE Power factories.

Brilliant Factory is an initiative to improve factory productivity through the use of sensors, data visualization, data analytics, and digital solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
•Through cross-functional leadership, work with GE Power factories to develop their Digital Thread / Brilliant Factory strategy.
•Lead the team to make the AMW facility a Brilliant Factory showcase.
•Develop and share best practices and solutions across factories in order to reduce cost and time of factory implementation projects.
•Incorporate Brilliant Factory technologies into all of the manufacturing process development programs within the AMW by providing project management skills and technical oversight.
• Engage and integrate corporate and local IT teams to design, build, and support the network, server, cloud, and database infrastructure required for Factory Optimization solutions.
• Interface with GE's Brilliant Factory corporate team and global & cross-functional counter-parts to achieve Brilliant Factory program goals and integrate global activities in Power & Water.
• Drive a data-driven culture to identify the most impactful areas for optimization through strong analytical evaluation of how Big Y's (Quality & CoQ, On Time Delivery, Product Cost, Capacity, etc ) impact the business
• Work closely with the factory leaders, LCOE, as well as the IT team to ensure the best technical decisions and scalability of factory improvements
• Leverage best practices from and work closely with other key GE Businesses and partners (IT, GRC, AMW, GEIP, GET, etc.) in order to drive Brilliant Factory Initiatives
• Actively participate in GE planning processes through creating a multi-year business case strategy and funding projections
• Remain current with emerging technologies and advocate for their use


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing, building, and deploying factory information systems that drive Lean Manufacturing practices, Process Optimization (OEE) improvements, and cost improvements.
• Ability to travel up to 30% including 1-2 international trips per year
