About the Role

Assist the Treasury & Insurance Coordinator in performance of the Treasury Accounting function of the Company, in compliance with applicable laws, Group Guidelines, Internal Procedures, and as instructed by the Finance Control & Planning Manager.



Position: Treasury & Insurance Assistant

Location: Perth

Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months

Working Arrangement: Monday-Friday



Qualifications & Experience:

  • Administrative experience within a Finance/Commercial/Treasury Department

  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience in Treasury and/or Finance



Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Payment processing to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities, and JV operators

  • Monitoring & reporting of cash balances;

  • Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable function as required;

  • General administrative duties including archiving, preparation of reports for the Tax function, and other ad hoc requirements;

  • Assisting on special projects as and when required;

  • Support in performing SoX controls relating to Accounting, including providing assistance to the Audit and Compliance function

Treasury

  • Ensure payments to suppliers, contractors, tax authorities, and JV operators are made accurately and on a timely basis in compliance with Internal Procedures and Group Guidelines;

  • Assist with planning of the cash flow to ensure timely availability of funds necessary to execute payments within contractual deadlines, optimising use of incoming and available funds;

  • Provide assistance for monthly reporting requirements of cash balances and forecasts;

  • Perform all SAP functions relating to Treasury

  • Prepare provisional bank reconciliations on a monthly basis

  • Support audit processes including preparing supporting documentation and answering audit queries;

  • Provide ad hoc assistance on insurance matters, including liaison with insurance brokers as required

Accounts Payable

  • Assist with invoice registering and electronic storage of invoices

  • Prepare journals to reclass intercompany costs where required (e.g. travel)

General

  • Responsible for archiving requirements of the Finance, Control & Planning Department, including retrieval and coordination

  • Provide SAP reports as required to assist the Tax function

  • Liaison with HR and IT Department for setup of new users

  • Provide ad hoc assistance to the Finance, Control & Planning Department where required
