Job Title: Technical Service Personnel – Controls

Location: Perth, WA

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

The Technical Service Personnel – Controls is responsible for the preparation, installation, testing, and maintenance of controls-related equipment for subsea hardware. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Topside Routers

  • SPCTU

  • Sensor Simulators

  • SCM

  • WOCM

  • WAMS

  • HMI

  • G2i Batteries

  • PCR, HCR, ESD, IR/CR

  • Smartool Laptops

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and repair new and reworked TechnipFMC products related to subsea controls.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and successful installation of subsea hardware.

  • Address customer requirements and complaints professionally and effectively.

  • Provide sales support by ensuring customers are informed of all job aspects.

  • Complete and submit Field Service Orders (FSO) and Field Spare Parts Tickets (FSPT) within agreed timelines.

  • Report quality issues and documentation defects to Service Management.

  • Finalize field documentation upon job completion.

  • Support project execution and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

  • Prepare and complete safety documentation, promoting safe work practices.

  • Lead and coordinate task execution in compliance with procedures, codes, and standards.

  • Act as on-site supervisor for field service crew and report to Service Management.

  • Assist in developing procedural requirements for current and future service jobs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent technical qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a field service technician in subsea controls or a related field.

  • Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Subsea Controls Systems

  • Commissioning and Topside Controls Systems

  • Subsea Equipment

  • IWOCS/Hydraulics Equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical and hydraulic drawings.

  • Capability to perform moderately complex technical calculations.

  • Strong troubleshooting and instructional skills with technical tools and instruments.

  • Understanding of relevant industry theories, practices, and internal business processes.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
