Senior Structural Engineer

Purpose of the Role: 

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for performing and reviewing advanced structural engineering analysis and design, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. The role leads the preparation of complex engineering calculations, design reports, and specifications, while providing technical guidance to structural engineers and graduates. In addition to resolving challenging engineering issues, the Senior Engineer works closely with designers, other disciplines, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and constructible solutions. The position also contributes to project planning, supports resource coordination, and plays an important role in mentoring and developing junior engineers. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Perform/review structural analysis, reports and tasks in accordance with project requirements, schedule and technical requirements. 

• Leads Structural discipline on small/medium engineering projects 

• Coordination with other engineering disciplines. 

• Interface with client as required. 

• Provide guidance, and mentorship to engineers and designers. 

Qualifications / Skill Set: 

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field 

• Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), preferably as Member. 

• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering. 

• Background in Fixed/Floating Offshore structures design across both greenfield and brownfield projects. 

• Expertise in structural analysis and design with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Advanced knowledge of structural design software (e.g. SACS, GRLWEAP, USFOS, SESAM, MOSES, ANSYS, ABAQUS)
